The mission of the Teddy Bear program is to help calm children in a time of uncertainty such as a car accident when deputies are called to the scene. Since the program began, deputies have distributed more than 500 stuffed animals to children in hopes of helping them get through a possible crisis. This is an example of the community coming together to showcase the importance of protecting and serving to our youngest citizens.
